The Search for the Perfect Beach Towel

Now that summer has finally arrived (although not in San Francisco, when September is the true beginning of beach weather) the search for the perfect bathing suit ensues. And along with this sometimes daunting task is the search for the perfect towel. The towel that is big, soft, and a fashion statement in itself. Here are a few that will be comfortable and will go with any bathing suit!

Pillow Talk...

135 E. 65th Street in New York City, is a jewel box of a shop, a home furnishing store; Ankasa. The wall color is a wash of blue and there is a sea of pillows. These pillows can work in any design setting; giving a punch to a bedroom, making a living room more glamorous, placed on a bench in a dining room or kitchen, they can even be used in an alfresco outdoor patio area (ex. waterproof Amalfi Pillows). Melissa's favorite is the "Fairytale Zebra" and Wendy loves them all too much, she just can't pick.

Grand Opening Trina Turk!

Today is the Grand Opening of the Trina Turk store in East Hampton! Located at 79 Main Street, this new addition is guaranteed to make a big splash in its new home. The summer collection will be featured, along with swimwear and Trina Turk accessories (the sunglasses are to die for), a limited time only menswear collection. The new store will also feature residential accessories including her new fabric line created with Schumacher (see our post from 5/19 about Trina's new fabrics). As an intern for Trina Turk I hope to visit the East Hampton store many times and everyone who is in the Hamptons this summer should definitely check it out! Congrats Trina and co.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from her summer/swim collection:
