Southampton Goes Palm Beach

Southampton in the sun. Elle Decor did a feature article on this amazing house in Southampton. It just gets you the mood for summer. The fun article is by Kristina Stewart Ward and photographed by Simon Upton. It is the home of Veronica Swanson Beard; shown below in the stunning green dress with the beautiful marshland of sea grass in Southampton NY. This house portrays the style of Palm Beach in the early 70's. Her decorators were Chiqui and Nena Woolworth. I love the style and easy of life this house translates. It has a relaxing and comfortable style in which to enjoy the summer and outdoors with family and friends.

This is a stunning deck for enjoying the outdoors. I love the rug and fun pillows in greens and the purple ikat materials from Madeline Weinrib. Bench is by restoration Hardware.

The living room is a fun mix of patterns, with fabrics from China Sea shown on the sofa in a green zebra pattern. The pair of barrel lounge chairs are byLuara Kiar for McGuire. These chairs have been a favorite of mine for a long time. McGuire furniture is great because it can be used indoor or out and always has a style classic. The peachy wall color picks up the sunset in the evening, making the room a glow of pinks and oranges.

I am loving these pillows, which are again ikat from Madeline Weinrib. The chairs and chandelier are in a chalk white, giving them a great beach feel and are from C Bell. The dining table has the look of drifted wood picked up on the beach and is from Jayson Home & Garden. This dining room is so colorful against the black floors. Everything just stands out with an open and airy feeling.

The guest bedroom wallpaper and fabric's are from Quadrille, and the linens are from D. Porthault.

What a fun way to enjoy summer! Thank you Elle Decor for a sneak peak into this lovely home.
