*Weekend in San Francisco*

The whole family is headed to San Francisco today to go to Cassandra's graduation from the Art Institute of San Francisco.  It will be so nice to be back with everyone again and I can't wait to go out to dinner and explore the city! I haven't been in a few years and I am excited to see some new things in the city. I really hope we get to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, it is such a gorgeous walk and the view is breathtaking. We also went to Chinatown and went in all the fun shops that line the streets. I would like to go to "COLE" street too.

Does anyone have any fun spots we should be visiting??

Oh, how I love SF. There's a small, cheap, hole in the wall sushi restaurant in Pacific Heights called Godzila Sushi that we enjoyed. Amazing Greek (nice) restaurant in the business district called Kokkari Estiatorio. Red's Java at Pier 30 has amazing fish and chips. So good. Have fun!!!
P.S. If the line isn't forever long, go to the California Academy of Science (in GG Park) if that's your thing... we wanted to go but it was too crowded.

Try and spend an afternoon in Sausalito. it's on the north side of the Golden Gate and down by the water. Just a quaint little touristy town but nice and fresh. Lots of places to eat and shop. Check it out, you won't be sorry.

When I visited San Francisco, I went on a dinner cruise. It was very foggy at the time, not the best weather - but it was fun and the views of the shoreline and bridges were great!

Congrats Cassandra! I love San Fran; last time we were there we went over the bridge to Muir Woods and ate lunch in Sausalito and it was a great way to spend the afternoon. Have a great trip!

Wish I could meet up with you all (Frances from Australia is here too) but it's my husbands' birthday weekend and we are all booked up..for an unusual but fabulous dinner try Mandalay (Burmese) out on California between 5th & 6th..

I hope you had a wonderful time in our town. I guess it is too late for any insider tips. But if you haven't yet next time check out the Alemany flea market on Sundays, Gitane Restaurant for a cool interior, Artisan cocktails and great food, and the Ferry Building for the Saturday farmer's market.

Cheers,

Claudia

I'm so sorry I missed this post as I have so many places to suggest. Having lived in this beautiful City for over 13 years now I have lots of hidden secret places ;o)

Couple of my favourite places to eat are Foreign Cinema, Chez Spencer and Nihon.

Let me know if ever you return. Hope you had fun and congratulations on your daughter's graduation.
