How about a little Milk Chocolate

Anyone in the mood for a little Chocolate? Yay! Of course. A bite of each please!
Little Milk Chocolate tip: When shopping for Milk Chocolate there is a difference in flavor between American and European styles of Chocolate. For best results use high quality European Brands like Lindt,  Perugnia and Valrhona.

Libraries

It is zero out with a wind chill of -15 below. These are the kind of rooms one needs with weather like this, rooms to cozy up in with a fire ablaze. Love the deep saturated wall colors that make the rooms warm and cozy. The leather books also lend to a rooms warmth. A yummy throw and you are all set. Stay warm everyone. Have a great weekend.

The Shop-NYC

The Shop invited Melissa and I to come and have a chat and a little lunch with them.  Of course we were thrilled to except their invitation.  The shop is the home to Mariette Himez Gomez.  It is where she opens her wonderful designs to the public in an 8500 square foot warehouse with a white washed ceiling and wide plank floors. It is an amazing space that showcases her private collection and furnishing collections, period pieces of furniture as well as her own photographs and books.  Dominick Rotondi runs the shop and is Mariette's right hand man. He has been with her for 18 years. He oversees everything at the shop. Every detail is important to him. Customer service is number one! When we met with him at the shop he had just returned from a second check up on a custom table being made in NY. He pays attention to every little detail. *Fun fact Mariette likes odd numbers and Dominick likes even numbers. They make a great team.
The store is located at 504 East 74th St. New York.

Hand blown christmas ornaments hang in the shop windows for Christmas.  The shop had six different ornaments boxed for the holidays and were absolutely stunning!
Mariette has a wonderful furniture line with Hickory Chair.  She has a resource room at The Shop devoted to Hickory Chair with fabric, wood finish samples and some samples of furniture.
Lamps from the Private collection.
The Dee sofa, a tufted kidney sofa and beautiful gold Paris mirror are on the set of Ugly Betty in Willomina's house! Fun right?
Collection of Hickory Chair furniture line, Private collection, accessories designed by Mariette along with her antiques and one of a kind pieces collected around the word.
