A few Little Somethings Under The Tree

The best part of Christmas for the Cole family is
being able to come together from the four parts of the country
we all live {CT, LA, CA and FL}. There are however, a few
perks to Christmas and we wanted to share a few below.

Off to the East

It's that wonderful time of year again folks!
We are all hopping onto planes to meet Mom
and Dad in New Hampshire for a wintry holiday.
I'll be flying from San Francisco tomorrow night,
Leslie from Miami and Melissa is already there!
I love the romantic side of flying,
jetting off to somewhere wonderful.
But I have a tough time sitting for six hours
in a tiny seat; so I always make sure to have
tons of things to keep me entertained. I'll be sure
to have my newly downloaded Michael Buble and She & Him
albums. Of course The Holiday (a Chic Coles favorite!!).
And I'm really looking forward to
starting Diane Keaton's new book, Then Again.

What do you all do on the airplane
to keep you happy?

Felix Doolittle & Elements of Style

Christmas came early for me this year when I found
out I won the giveaway for a gift card to Felix Doolittle
on Elements of Style Blog. I chose the Personalized Calling Cards
and was so surprised when I received them on my doorstep within
48 hours! I was even more delighted when I opened the packaging.
From the outer wrapping to the cards themselves, everything was
impeccably done and packaged to perfection. Imagine my delight
when I opened the box to this:

Thank you Felix Doolittle and Elements of Style!

Want to Live in This House? 12.19.2011 Addition

Absolutely loving this gorgeous house! I just knew
when I saw it that I had to do a Want to Live in This House Post.
It's on a gorgeous street here in San Francisco.
Not only is the house amazing,
but the interior design is beautiful.
I'd love to add a little color, but the
general bones are fabulous!

The views are breathtaking!
You can see right to The Golden Gate Bridge.

How to Tie a Scarf

One of my fashion staples that I always wear during the colder months
(and sometimes during the warmer ones too when it is bearable...)
is my collection of scarves. I have solid and patterned scarves and
I love to layer and combine the two.  Until recently, however, I have been
wearing them only one or two ways, never knowing how to experiment and
change up the style. That is until I came upon the following image on Pinterest.

It has changed my scarf wearing days and i've already tried them...super easy!
The following are some of my if I need any more!

The Holiday Blues

We have been searching for solid navy blue lighting for a while now.
This fantastic porcelain blue lamp from Bungalow 5 fits the bill perfectly!
We have also selected a Ralph Lauren stripe white and blue table lamp
that has just the right amount of navy.
We are also collecting blue and white Chinese export and
eighteenth- and nineteenth-century porcelain.
I would love to have any of these items on my Christmas list!
