Sofas with Punch

Flipping through Lonny last night we were instantly drawn to the two living rooms of the house of David Flint and Indian Hicks at Hibiscus Hill Home. Many times when designing a sofa in an interior, it is advised to stick with a neutral color, a concept we love. It helps ground the room and then you can play up the interior with fun pillows, lamps, in addition to patterns and designs in fabrics, yet in these interiors there is a deviation from that very solid approach. This lovely pink sofa and the floral on the last image really show how a great piece like the sofa can be the focal point in the room and add all the punch and design. We threw in some other images of the houses just because they are so great with all those black floors.

I’m actually really loving that floral pattern on the couch. And the stone entryway to the cottage is ADORABLE!! I want a little cottage just like that! Very cool pic choices!
